A-Level

A-Level Chemistry tutoring.

Physical, organic and inorganic chemistry, with preparation for practical questions in the written papers. Lessons follow the student’s specification; online tuition does not provide a school’s practical endorsement.

What we teach

What we cover in A-Level Chemistry.

Physical chemistry.

Atomic structure, bonding, energetics, kinetics, equilibria, redox, acids and bases. The quantitative core of the qualification.

Organic chemistry.

Reaction mechanisms, functional groups, isomerism, synthesis. Pattern recognition over rote memorisation.

Inorganic chemistry.

Periodicity, group chemistry, transition metals. Trends as predictive tools, not facts to remember.

Written practical questions.

Required practical methodology, error analysis, and the practical write-up skills examiners now test in the written papers.

What to expect

How lessons run.

Weekly 1:1 sessions in our online classroom. Lessons combine concept-led teaching with model question dissection, drilling down on the language the mark scheme rewards. Practical-paper review is built in from the first session.

Questions about A-Level Chemistry tuition

How is the starting point agreed?

Bring the specification and a recent piece of work. The discussion can distinguish gaps in calculations, chemical explanations and reaction mechanisms, so the tutor can plan work at the right level.

What does tuition cost?

Subject tuition is €100 for a sixty-minute lesson. A weekly term is €1,000 for 10 lessons; it reserves continuity rather than providing a volume discount.

How are the tutor and lessons arranged?

We discuss the subject, exam board, goals and availability before matching a tutor. Lessons are online. The plan and practical arrangements are agreed before teaching begins.

What information do families receive?

The tuition offer includes written progress reporting at half term and at the end of term, with the next areas of work identified.
